Summary/Objective:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for owning, leading, and optimizing the company’s operations. This includes overseeing production, distribution, logistics, and provincial operations. Your role involves setting the pace and direction for your teams and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve overall operational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities for Operations Vacancy Mississauga Ontario:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing, and organizing the organization’s operations function
- Leading Branch Managers and middle managers to ensure processes and output reflect established standards
- Reviewing monthly P&L and WOR with Operations Supervisors, making necessary adjustments
- Providing leadership in inventory management, warehousing, and transportation
- Ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between departments
- Identifying process gaps and translating findings into SOPs, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Managing multiple projects to deliver SOPs, training, and quality improvements
- Identifying new business opportunities and conducting business expansion planning
- Establishing and maintaining strong internal controls and procedures
- Evaluating the Operations team structure and providing training, motivation, and guidance for growth opportunities
- Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Qualifications for Operations Vacancy Mississauga Ontario:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in supply-chain or business
- Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience in warehouse operations, supply-chain management, or production
- 8+ years’ multi-unit operations experience in food, produce, or flower industry
- Proven ability to lead through complex change and transformation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Technological savvy and ability to demonstrate competence in various platforms and processes
- Ability to work beyond regular hours as needed
Supervisory Responsibility:
As the Head of Department, Operations, you will oversee and lead the operations team.
Work Environment:
You will work in an office environment with regular desk duties, occasional travel, and exposure to computer usage.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a regular full-time position with 40 hours of work per week, and you may be required to work additional hours to champion the leadership of the department.
