As the Assistant Waterworks Manager, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to oversee the town’s water treatment plant and wastewater treatment facilities. Reporting directly to the Waterworks Manager, you’ll contribute significantly to the successful operation by focusing on preventative maintenance, ensuring water quality, and implementing effective solutions.

Leading the Way in Water Management

Your responsibilities will encompass leading and directing water treatment plant operators, monitoring plant performance and equipment. You’ll play a key role in implementing best practices within the operations team, actively participating in operator duties, and recording accurate data. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for making critical decisions regarding plant operations and performance to meet or exceed stringent regulations.

Qualifications for Waterworks Manager Gillam Manitoba

To excel in this role, you’ll possess a valid Level III or IV Water Treatment Operator License issued by the Province of Manitoba (or equivalent from other provinces). A valid Wastewater Treatment Operator License is also required. The ideal candidate will either possess or demonstrate a willingness to obtain a Water Distribution License and a Wastewater Collection License.

Beyond technical expertise, strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
